Welcome to the STROHs 2024 Sixers on Ice. In Texas we understand that we don’t have seasons, we have hot, warm, and a dash of cold for three weeks of the year. This event came out of a necessity to facilitate golf between the times of bitter cold for other states and show off (maybe brag about) our ability to play during this time of year. We will convene for matches on Friday January 19th at 11:00AM and Saturday 20th at 8:00AM at Landa Park Golf Course in New Braunfels, TX.
Format: Head-to-head match play, with each match consisting of a designated six-hole stretch. Participants play three matches per day with a total of six matches being played over two rounds.
Tees: All play will be from the Championship tees (black tee markers) at 6,205yds. Please note that the fifth hole tee markers may be moved up. Please play from the markers not from the furthest back tee box.
Scoring:
• Hole won = 1 point
• Hole halved = ½ point
• Hole lost = 0 points
**There is an additional award of 1 point for a match that is won**
